She is a practicing physician with over two (2) decades of experience in primary care and public health. She was also adjunct faculty at the University of West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences, where she co-wrote and lectured courses in Professionalism, Ethics and Communications in Healthcare.
Her passion is wellness, health promotion and preventative medicine with a special interest in Functional Medicine, which examines root cause of illness and lifestyle approaches to treatment. Dr. St. Bernard welcomes every opportunity to educate the public on health matters, having delivered many health talks on radio, television, at workplaces, schools, community centers and any location where people would like to know more about their health.
